Hi, I’m Anna. Welcome!

Let’s rebuild what matters.

What if I told you that the relationship you have with yourself is one of the most important ones you have? If this is true, which I believe it is, how does this rank amongst all the other priorities in life? It can be all too common, especially for men, to lose sight of who they are and can be in favor of being a provider, an employee, a partner, or a parent. And sometimes, things such as addiction, trauma, grief, and loneliness/isolation exacerbate feelings of “I don’t matter.” All too often our relationship with ourselves takes a backseat.

Therapy at Still Waters Center for Counseling is designed to be a space to help clients rebuild what matters. My sincere hope as a therapist is that clients sense of self, self-esteem, and self-compassion will be rebuilt so that they can live, work, and rest out of this rediscovered identity, instead of for it. Let’s rebuild what matters, together.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8+ years of experience in providing case management services and clinical supervision within the child welfare sector, school based individual and group therapy with a focus on grief, and individual and couples therapy. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University.

Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy being outdoors whether it’s walking my dogs or going for a training run.

Still Waters Center for Counseling holds the understanding that it is a privilege to offer counseling services to men, an often underserved population in the mental health field. A few options that SWCC provides is individual therapy, couples therapy, and/or psychoeducational groups in order to connect men going through similar life experiences.
